Termination Dust
Termination dust appeared Saturday night, signaling the end of summer and beginning of fall (ie: winter, part I). Termination dust refers to the initial dusting of snow in the mountains….in this case, the Chugach mountains. The weather is cold, wet, windy, and cold (oh, I already said cold….but it bears repeating). On the thermometer it isn’t that cold, but the wind is fierce. making it seem that much worse. The camper is partially unpacked and might be done for the season.
